For many years, Harley-Davidson has built quality motorcycles for riders all over the world. There are, however, some riders who would prefer a more comfortable and stable bike. For these riders, Harley-Davidson has decided to add a trike to their 2009 line-up.
One of the main reasons for this choice was that many people would be more comfortable on a three-wheeled model, rather than a large two-wheeled model that is too tall and too heavy for some to handle. Harley-Davidson has decided to listen to their customer base that have been asking for trikes for years now. The first trike to be offered in the 2009 line-up is the Tri Glide Ultra Classic which has its own unique chassis design. The trike is set to cost approximately thirty thousand dollars and has the option of an electric reverse transmission at the additional cost of twelve hundred dollars.
Harley recently announced that they will be releasing a carving model as well. What makes this different from other trikes is that the two wheel axle will be on the front of the trike and not the back. This design gives the vehicle the weight of an elite sports car and the maneuverability of a motorcycle. Though there are many models already on the market, Harley Davidson has received a patent for their exclusive design. That design promises to bring a fine piece of American made machinery to the public.
Harley-Davidson has not announced the timing of the release of this product, but many riders are excited and have been waiting with baited breath.
