Harley-Davidson motorcycles have caught the imagination of the public and filmmakers for years. It use to be when you heard the sound of a Harley at the movies you knew trouble was coming. Now Harleys are ridden by all sexes and people of all walks of life. Interestingly, many celebrity Harley riders, especially women, fell in love with the Harley while using one in a film they were making.
The best way to see celebrities on Harleys, other than in the movies, is on one of the many charity rides. Celebrities have been riding Harleys for a long time. Clark Gable was an avid rider, along with James Dean, Marlon Brando and Steve McQueen. Ladies began setting the trend with Elizabeth Taylor and Bridgette Bardot. Today, on the bikes, you may see George Clooney, Bruce Springsteen or Brad Pitt. Of course, Jay Leno does a lot of charity events and owns more than one Harley. You may have even seen Arnold Schwarzenegger on a bike before he became the Governor of California. For ladies on these rides, look for Cher, Wyona Judd, Pamela Anderson, K.D. Lang, and if she can get a break from her kids, maybe even Angelina Jolie.
These charity rides will not only have you rubbing elbows with the celebrities, they have great scenery, competitions, camaraderie and usually some fantastic food. Some of the more popular rides for celebrities are the Sunset-To-Las Vegas Ride, the Route 66 to Grand Canyon Ride and the California Coastline Ride.
