The relationship between the Harley-Davidson motorcycle and tattoos is an interesting one. They both share a common theme, while still maintaining a sense of individualism.
For some, it is thought that a Harley and tattoos are more for the outlaw biker types, which is not the common understanding as it is known today. No matter what age group you fall into, almost every Harley rider has a tattoo of some kind. They may not be Harley tattoos, but they are still tattoos none the less. These tattoos usually can tell you a lot about the kind of person on the bike. If you find that the tattoos are very outlandish and colorful, then the rider may be someone you would find teaching in an elementary school. On the other hand, if you find someone with a lot of skulls, bones, and various violent tattoos, then they may be the epitome of a hardcore biker.
Tattoos are basically just a form of self-expression, which is why they have such a close relationship with the rider. The person on top of the Harley is literally expressing themselves through the artwork on their body. It gives you a glimpse into that person’s life, and who they are. Although, there are times where the person is completely opposite of the tattoo art on their skin, so do not always be so quick to judge. You may find that the man riding atop the hog, donning various violent tattoos, is actually your local high school religion teacher.
